Today we are here...

Imagine, a hardworking American who sends their children to school, pays for their children's expenses, sends 50% of their income in sales, property, income tax, fees, penalties and parking tickets to various government jurisdictions.

Their interaction with the government is through the courts - parking tickets, parenting - and through voting for some government guy they have never met and wouldn't know if ran into on the street...

And one day, this hardworking American is confronted with something that requires action from various government jurisdictions.

And...nothing

Like paying to an insurance company that won't pay when there is an accident...

This is where we are today - we have lots of representation in courts but not on the budget, we have lots of government interaction when the government wants something from us, but when our house gets burned down in a riot, in a wildfire, when our kids fall behind, then it turns out that our government guys knows us as well as we knew them when we voted...

...then our government guy is too busy with priorities - like an insurance company that is happy to take our premiums but then fights us in court...

The Representative Party STRONGLY supports:

Ratification of the Apportionment amendment that guarantees a minimum level of representation for American Citizens:
Congressional Apportionment Amendment - Wikipedia

And supports the ideas from Plato's The Republic:

Republic: Plato, Jowett, Benjamin:

And supports James Madison Federalist Papers:

The Federalist Papers: Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, John Jay

While specific party plank and positions of The Representative Party are based on Americans concerns and preferences - in general The Representative Party believes that many of the ills and problems such as homelessness, overdose, gun violence, toxic relations are preventable and result from Americans opting out in the face of a tyrannical and neglectful government that is only good at taking.

In the spirit of creating a shining city on a hill, of creating a just and fair society The Representative Party takes the position of James Madison in favor of ensuring Representation for American Citizens over all areas of government - budget, tax, courts and legislation at the local, state and national levels.
